Vincent Caers (research unit Music & Drama) will present his doctoral research in the Arts:

“Umbraphonics – An electro-acoustic performance format for mediating musical scores”

The supervisory committee of the doctoral research consisted of supervisor prof. dr. Piet Swerts (KU Leuven / LUCA School of Arts), co-supervisor dr. Tom De Cock (Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, K.A.S.K.), Klaas Verpoest (LUCA School of Arts), prof. dr. Luc Nijs (Ghent University), dr. Benjamin Van Esser (Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel) and Sigrid Tanghe.

Vincent will release his CD ‘A Year in Dark Shades’ with a performance on Tuesday October 4 at 20h00 at the Labozaal, BAC ART LAB, Vital De Costerstraat 102, 3000 Leuven.

The public doctoral defense will take place on Friday October 7 at 17h00 at the Labozaal, BAC ART LAB, Vital De Costerstraat 102, 3000 Leuven. As from 20h00 there will be a reception.
